Data, sources and limits

Kalviyogi MBBS is built on published reference datasets. This page says where every part of it comes from, what each dataset does and does not contain, and what the platform cannot yet do.

Medical disclaimer. Kalviyogi MBBS is an educational platform. It is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or treatment.

Model coverage

The two human datasets are separate collections with different scope. They are not a male and a female version of the same model, and a structure missing from one is not evidence about the body — it is evidence about the dataset.

MaleBodyParts3D

An adult male reference anatomy. It does not contain every human structure or variation.

FemaleHRA

A female reference assembly: whole-body surface, selected organs, and a detailed female reproductive tract. Skeleton and muscle coverage is partial and this is not a complete full-body internal atlas.

BotanyAuthored models

Seven authored teaching models of plant structure. Every piece is drawn for teaching rather than scanned from a specimen, and each topic states what it represents and at what scale.

Female mode has no stomach, because the source collection contains none. Eleven pelvic pieces in that mode are authored teaching schematics, marked as such wherever they appear, and have not been reviewed by an anatomist.

Curriculum coverage

1 of 19 MBBS subjects open in the atlas: anatomy, across 8 of 11 regions and 99 listed structures. Physiology has written chapter notes only. The remaining subjects hold no content.

16 NCERT chapters open in the atlas

NCERT rationalised both Biology books in 2023 and the NTA has revised the NEET syllabus since. Chapter numbers moved and some topics were dropped, so this maps by unit and chapter title rather than by number. Check the current NTA syllabus before relying on it: this is a study aid, not a syllabus.

Tamil Nadu State Board carries Biology as separate Botany and Zoology volumes, in a different chapter order. NEET is set from NCERT, so this atlas maps to NCERT and leaves the state-board ordering alone. Structure names appear in Tamil wherever a Tamil term has been written; the language picker says how far that goes.

Licences and attribution

The application code is MIT. The datasets are not, and relabelling them as MIT because the code is would be a licence breach as well as a lie.

Known limitations

  • No content on this site has been reviewed by a doctor, an anatomist or a medical faculty member.
  • Translations are unreviewed. Twelve of the fourteen languages cover interface controls only.
  • Botany models are authored teaching geometry, not scanned specimens, and no botanist has reviewed them.
  • Geometry is simplified for the web. This is an educational reference, not a diagnostic, surgical or identification tool.
  • Performance has not been measured on a broad range of physical hardware; no frame rate is claimed.

MBBS SubjectsPartly built

The full four-year curriculum, with anatomy opening directly into the 3D atlas region by region.

Anatomy is built. The other eighteen subjects are listed but hold no content yet.

Bilingual LearningPartly built

Fourteen interface languages. Tamil and Hindi also carry structure names.

No translation has been reviewed by a subject-matter translator, and twelve of the fourteen languages cover the interface only.

Viva & Spotter PracticePartly built

Identify the highlighted structure, drawn from whatever is currently on screen.

Questions are generated from the model itself. There is no written viva bank: producing one without a named source and a faculty review would be inventing medicine.

Classroom & Smart BoardPartly built

The viewer rescaled for an interactive panel or projector: 72px camera controls, 60px layer rows, larger type, and furniture kept clear of the bezel.

Scaling only. Annotation, spotlight and laser pointer are not built, and live student joining needs a server this static host does not provide.

Clinical CorrelationsNot built yet

Conditions, signs, examination relevance and exam pearls attached to each structure.

Needs sourced, faculty-reviewed clinical text. None exists for this project, and writing it unsourced would be fabricating medicine.

RadiologyNot built yet

X-ray, CT, MRI and cross-sectional anatomy alongside the 3D model.

Needs licensed or openly published imaging series. This project holds none, and drawing imaginary scans is not an option.

Organ to tissue to cell, with labelled microscopic views.

Needs real microscopy images. The botany atlas has a plant cell at this scale; the human equivalent has no source here.

Week-by-week development with congenital correlations.

No developmental sequence is modelled, and animating one from guesswork would teach the wrong shapes.
