Fundus of uterus

The rounded upper region of the uterus, lying above the level at which the uterine tubes enter at the cornua.

How to spot it. The rounded upper part of the uterus, above the level where the uterine tubes enter.

What it does. Forms the upper wall of the uterine cavity; its height is what is measured to follow a pregnancy.

Where it sits. Above the cornua where the uterine tubes join; continuous below with the body of the uterus.
